Maxime
Simoëns was born in Lille in 1984. Since he was a child, painting,
theatre and cinema were his favorite hobbies. Artistic expression, his
passion. After completing his A Levels, Maxime went to study applied
arts in Lyon, and then joined the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture
Parisienne. ... He won the first prize for Lace Fashion at the
International Competition I-Design, as well as the first prize for
Incentive in France and the François Lesage prize both at the
International Competition For Young Fashion Designers. In 2006, he came
first in his year and continued his apprenticeship with the designers of
major fashion houses such as Elie Saab, Jean-Paul Gaultier, John
Galliano for Christian Dior and Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga. In
his search for creative independence and the desire to create his own
fashion house, Maxime set out to create his own universe in women’s
wear. Today that dream has become a reality. Free from all contemporary
influences, Maxime defines, from his very first collection, innovative
vision, blending graphic design into the architecture of his creations.source
